According to Gartner, “organizations worldwide are responding to pandemic disruption and recovery by evaluating and deploying continuous HR processes.” New requirements for improved business agility have shifted the cadence of business planning cycles from years to quarters or even months.

Read this report1 from Gartner to learn how human capital management (HCM) technologies support business outcomes as we move into a ‘recover and renew’ phase of post-pandemic planning, including:

  • Deploying workforce and workspace management tools with varied breadth and project life span to support return-to-work initiatives and hybrid work environments.
  • Increasing the frequency and level of technology enablement of strategic workforce planning processes.
  • Improving HR, procurement and operational visibility to, and management of, contingent labor to increase organizational agility and market responsiveness.

Among its recommendations, the report suggests that HCM application leaders should “assess the strategic workforce planning capabilities of point solutions and consultancies, along with those delivered by their existing HCM suite” and “prioritize open architecture and integration features, as it may be necessary to combine a number of solutions (particularly early on) to fully meet requirements.”
