Bringing Finance and HR together to plan a 2-year transformation, and track its implementation​

Business goal​

• Following an acquisition, the goal was to transform and modify the organization while incorporating cost saving​.
• To optimize for organizational effectiveness while creating a financial plan for the upcoming two years, and track against it.

Solution​

• Orgvue team trained 75 people from both the HR and Finance teams to use the platform​
• They pulled data targets from their finance and HR systems of records (and loaded data back after approving the plan), and people data from HR system of record​
• Finance gave targets to the HR team, who then designed the future state (closed/added/changed positions) and delivered back a detailed roadmap with dates to Finance​
• They identified 58M$ cost savings through changing positions​
• Orgvue provided visuals they could use both for HR and Finance standpoints:​
  • HR focused on Organization effectiveness and Spans and layers​
  • Finance focused on cost implications and finance goals for 2024​
• Once the plan was approved, they put in place a tracking and monitoring system to maintain the original plan as the forecast, and pull in actuals on a quarterly basis to understand where they’re on and off plan​
• First quarter, they identified 6.4M$ unplanned headcount added to the organization
