Aligning location, cost, and capability to maximize efficiency

Explore how to optimize your location strategy with Orgvue experts Kristie Tran and Ritika Sonam.

With efficiency top of mind, organizations are rethinking how and where work gets done. Whether driven by cost, talent access, or operational agility, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. From establishing shared services to shifting functions offshore, location strategy has, for some time now, been a critical enabler of transformation. But without visibility into roles, activities, skills, and cost, it’s hard to know what to move, and what to keep where it is.

This 30-minute webinar focuses on how the right technology can help you and your business make smarter, faster, and more confident decisions about your location strategy:

  1. Assessing your current structure and location footprintUnderstand and visualize the distribution of roles and work across your locations, and the cost implications.
  2. Designing a fit-for-purpose location modelSee how you can model structural shifts like consolidating services into a shared function or offshoring specific activities. Learn how to categorize locations by strategic intent (strategic, nearshore, offshore) and determine the right work and workforce for each, without losing sight of the skills you need to retain.

Our experts share examples and demonstrate how Orgvue enables organizations to take a structured, data-led approach to location strategy, grounded in work, cost, and capability. You’ll leave with practical insights on how to optimize your operating model while staying aligned to your workforce needs and preserving the skills that drive value.

Key topics include

  • How to evaluate roles, work, and cost, so you can compare positions across locations and make decisions based on real business impact.
  • Ways to understand what work is being done and where, so you can identify which activities can move and which should stay in place.
  • Modelling the shift to shared service models, pinpointing the right functions to centralize and designing them with clarity around structure, work, and skills.
  • Right-sizing shared service teams, and balancing workload with headcount to ensure the model is both efficient and sustainable.
  • Test scenarios, and model and iterate on changes to your organization design, so you can confidently transition from insight to action.
