We are revolutionizing the way organizations manage and visualize their structures with our cutting-edge AI technology, under the Henshaw name. Named after George Holt Henshaw, the draftsman who created the first recorded organizational chart in 1855 for the New York and Erie Railroad. Henshaw embodies the spirit of innovation and efficiency that Orgvue is famous for.

What is Henshaw?
Henshaw is the umbrella name for Orgvue’s suite of AI tools designed to enhance organizational management helping organizations accelerate and simplify the organizational design and planning processes. Here are some of the key features currently available:
- Henshaw RolesThis tool allows for the automated creation of roles or role clusters from a lists of positions collected from multiple data sources. A fundamental data preparation task that traditionally took weeks to collate, align and map, can now be done in minutes.
- Henshaw SpansThis feature compresses the organizational tree to meet target spans of control. Using an organizations own design rules and policies, Henshaw will model optimal management structures without prejudice, which you can then validate and edit to your specific needs.
How safe are Henshaw AI features?
Orgvue is committed to safe, human-centric AI that builds trust with customers, regulators, and stakeholders. As a result Orgvue is a signatory of the EU AI Pact to demonstrate our strong emphasis on data privacy, output accuracy, and adherence to global regulatory requirements.
Orgvue customer’s data isolation is ensured through the use of dedicated LLMs within OpenAI Enterprise and dedicated Amazon SageMaker instances per customer and per Henshaw AI use-case. This means that there is no way for Orgvue Henshaw data to be shared with other customers or outside of the Orgvue platform. OpenAI does not use Orgvue customer data to train other LLMs. Orgvue customers own and control their data. AI technologies within the platform are disabled by default / available on an opt-in basis.
